What Started Small

Became Our All

George & Paige Nester are the owners of Honey Buzz Winery. They run both ventures alongside their daughter, Blake, who returned to the endeavor upon graduating from college. The idea came to life in 2011 when the family began a small pumpkin-growing operation and acquired several beehives to assist in pollinating the crops.

As their knowledge of beekeeping grew, so did their skill. In no time, the couple had fallen in love with the practice and had more honey than they knew what to do with! That’s where Creek House Honey Farm, the Nester’s storefront in which they sell this honey, came to fruition.

Not even a year after the grand opening, Honey Buzz Winery was launched. The concept of brewing mead was not so much foreign to George as he had already established himself as a beer connoisseur, brewing his own batches for personal consumption a number of years beforehand.
